Before you right off the classic wooden roller coaster remember that one of the rare things about roller coasters these days is finding the beauty and elegance of the classic wooden roller coaster. This Wooden Roller Coaster at Bush Gardens Tampa Florida is named after a mythical creature called Gwazi, and is one of the world’s largest wooden coasters. This massive double wooden coaster stands over 95 feet in the air, and is said to have the body of a masculine lion and the head of a sleek tiger. With crossing speeds of nearly a 100 mph this wooden coaster is no laughing matter, and not one to be easily trifled with. Gwazi Tiger has an element that gives riders a slalom sensation, more like a bobsled than a wooden coaster. Gwazi Lion’s highlight is a seemingly continuous number of spirals. As this massive wooden coaster races along side each other in a constant battle it flirts with massive drops and sudden turns. Ride them both and see if you can figure out which one is faster, I dare you?
